Obituary of Monica E Koch

MEMORIAL DONATIONS Monica’s family has respectfully requested that in lieu of sending flowers, mourners consider making memorial donations in Monica’s name to the “Support Margo Naranjo Fund”. The Naranjo Family has been close friends with Monica and her family for decades- so much so that Monica considered them part of her extended family. Last summer, the Naranjo’s 24 year old daughter Margo was in a very serious car accident and suffered from a traumatic brain injury. She has recently begun a long, arduous rehabilitation process which requires a comprehensive 24 hour care regimen. Margo has returned home to embark on her rehabilitation journey with her parents taking on the lion’s share of the transport and rehabilitation efforts themselves. On many occasions, Monica had expressed a frustration with the lack of insurance coverage for many essential healthcare items, expenses and equipment needed by the family to assist Margo. These expenses are in addition to the suffocating copay and coinsurance necessitating out of pocket payments by the family. Monica had a strong desire to do something to help the family by helping to finance equipment or aids to assist Margo’s family on the arduous journey they now find themselves traveling on. We thought it would be a tribute to Monica’s huge heart and incredible spirit to carry on her support of a cause that she felt so strongly about.
