As the Saratoga racing season draws to a close, thoughts of Ray came to mind....Something inside told me to search for him on google, and I was sorry to learn of his recent passing..... I have good memories of Ray when he worked the owners and trainers parking lot up at the Spa in the summer.....Always the conversationalist and quick to give you a "tip" at the track....My sincerest condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him!! RIP, Ray....the race is over!!

As we recall the wonderful memories we have of Harasek family gatherings, we mourn the loss of Red and Wal's "kid brother", Ray.
Uncle Ray kept our social calendars full: BBQ's, Holidays, Scouting, Gardening, Winter weeks in Florida, Softball, Bowling.....His energy was amazing. His service to the country and family was paramount.
Life is always a roller-coaster ride, with its ups and downs of Love, Loss and Faith. We'll miss you, but know that you're being welcomed to God's heaven as you all cruise around in the clouds, watching over us.
Love to all, Nancy
P.S. When they're choosing up teams for the softball game, save me a spot on yours!

My godfather Uncle Ray was the liveliest of men! A strict and loving father, he was also a kind and generous uncle, a proud grandfather, a great athlete, and best of all, a loving husband. I enjoy so many memories of laughter and storytelling mixed with our family ups and downs. God bless Christy and Danny and all of his kids and grandkids. He helped many of us cousins to enjoy a good Harasek family life.

Uncle Ray, so many memories over the years. As the youngest of the three Harasek brothers, growing up in Yorkville. I remember Uncle Ray working as a machinist at a Sanitation Dept garage nearby and visiting him occasionally there. He was often the transportation for is since we never had a car. I remember a trip when I was probably 5 years old when he took us to Coney Island and I watched he and Aunt Billie ride the parachute jump! Many good times in Sea Bright, NJ too! Your gang are back together in heaven. Rest in Peace!
