Obituary of Ann L. DeMarco
Our Sweet Anne DeMarco (Anne Lombardo DeMarco) passed away peacefully in her home in Valley Stream on Saturday May 4th 2019 surrounded by loved ones
Born to Italian immigrant parents Antonio and Marietta Lombardo on Sept 14th 1920, Annie enjoyed her formative years in Brooklyn NY before settling down on Long Island in 1951. She took a job at the ENT clinic at Fort Hamilton post World War II, where she met the love of her life, Vincent Anthony DeMarco. Together they raised their loving, devoted daughter Maria.
Anne will be most remembered for her loving spirit, her unparalleled compassion for everyone, and her overwhelming generosity. She will also be fondly remembered for her yoda-like skills in the kitchen. Her secret ingredient for everything from her chicken cutlets to her rice pudding was always the same - Nanny 'magic'.
She leaves behind a family that will forever be better for having had her to teach them what it means to love without condition. Without judgement. Without fear. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Ann Tsaclas, her grandson, Eric Tsaclas and his wife Amy and their children Taylor and Hunter. Her granddaughter Nicole Needleman, her husband Michael and their sons Jonah and Luke. And her granddaughter Melinda Seymour, her husband John and their son Milo.
May she rest in peace always. An angel to watch over us and guide us.
