Obituary of Angelo P. Toscano

Angelo Toscano, born on May 24, 1945 in the Bronx, New York, son of Millie Sulli and Gaetano Toscano, passed away on March 31, 2019 at the age of 73.Angelo is survived by his former wife Phyllis Toscano and children Thomas, Joseph and John as well as Thomas’s wife Kaitlyn and Angelo’s two grandchildren John and Connor Toscano.Angelo is also survived by his sister Rose and her husband Al Cimino of Wantagh NY and their children Carol, Diane and Robert and Carol’s child Seth Day.Angelo grew up in Elmont New York - the son of Italian immigrants.  He served in the U.S. Army between 1965 and 1967.  After serving, he met his wife and married on October 20, 1971.  They lived in Malverne NY where they raised their three children.Angelo was an entrepreneur, starting his own business operating an air conditioning and heating company in the Long Island area.  Being an ardent animal lover, Angelo cared for and took in many strays throughout his life.  Further he enjoyed metal detecting and was an avid scuba diver, participating as an active member in clubs for both these activities.Angelo was a devoted and caring father - he will be extensively missed by his children Thomas, Joseph and John and by those who knew him.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00, at Krauss Funeral Home, 1097 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, New York.A Mass will be celebrated in memory of Angelo on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 65 Wright Ave, Malverne, NY 11565.
