It is with great sorrow that I was informed of the passing of my colleague and friend Lucile. We became fiends and confidants through the similarities of our labs (All Purpose and Creative Writing). We often sought each other out for not only advice but for personal reasons. We attended computer workshops.. We had great conversations while enjoying lunch prior to the workshops. Lucile will be sorely missed as an educator and as a friend.
Lucille was one of the sweetest most patient people I have ever met. She truly loved her “Writing Center” lab and worked tirelessly to make it a functional, welcoming environment for teachers and students. We spent the day reminiscing about her warmth and kindness. Her memory will live on here at New Hyde Park Memorial.
