Obituary of Edward P. Rooney

Edward Patrick Rooney Sr., 99, of Franklin Square, NY passed away on August 14, 2018 in New York.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Krauss Funeral Home on Wednesday August 22, 2018.

On Thursday, August 23rd at 9:30am a Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St Catherine of Sienna RC Church, Franklin Square, NY.

Burial will follow at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, NY.

Visitation will be held at Krauss Funeral Home on Wednesday August 22, 2018 at 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Edward Patrick Rooney Sr. was born in New York City to Edward Rooney & Nora (Lawless) Rooney on February 15, 1919.

He was a WWII disabled veteran, a Purple Heart Recipient, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2718, Franklin Square, NY.

Edward Patrick Rooney Sr. is survived by:

Children & spouses: Seann & Shelly, Eileen, Edward Jr. & Mary, Ronald & Geri

Grandchildren & spouses: Sam & Marivic, Renee, Samantha, Alexandra, Kathleen, Christine

Great Grandchildren: Sammy, Sophia, Josephine

He is preceded in death by his wife Rose Villacci Rooney, parents Edward Rooney & Nora (Lawless) Rooney, and sisters Margaret, Mary, Eleanor.
