Ellie, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Greg was a great guy. I remember when he started as an Intern in Con Ed. He was always a gentleman and a very decent guy. You and your son as well as Greg will be in my prayers. God Bless

We do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, about those who have fallen asleep, so that you may not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so too will God, through Jesus, bring with him those who have fallen asleep. Indeed, we tell you this, on the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, console one another with these words
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

We were so sorry to learn of our great friend Greg's passing. He was the kindest, most loyal and most fun-loving guy you would ever meet. We remember many a weekend night riding around in his Dodge Demon. He could never turn anybody away, so his car was often stuffed with five or 6 of us at a time.
Greg was devoted to his parents and his sister and he would do anything for them. He was a swimmer at Fordham and practice was early morning before class. After classes, he made his way home, would do his studies, and then find time to work a few hours a week at a small Sears outlet installing batteries and tires. He worked for a few bucks an hour, and he was always happy to help people.
Years later, Greg was the Best Man at our wedding. Greg and Ellie were also the godparents to our second daughter. We met their son Tommy when they came to spend time with us in Florida. Sadly, contact waned over the years, and only recently did we reach out again. Our last try to reconnect was just weeks before his passing.
Dr. Seuss once said: "Don't cry because it is over; smile because it happened." We will always smile when we think of Greg. God Bless, Greg.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Greg. We remember him as a generous and loyal friend, from high school and the later years. Greg was an important part of our large cohort of friends...cruising around Elmhurst in one of his great cars, spending an afternoon on his boat on the Long Island Sound, nights out at Donovan's and introducing him to Ellie Peacock, who immediately became the love of his life...these are the memories of our youth that Greg is forever a part of.
Although time and distance often separate friends as we wind our way through this mortal existence, Greg was never far from our hearts and minds. We extend our sincerest condolences to his wife, Ellie, and his son Tom, and the whole Moore family.
