Gerhard Richardt was born on August 11, 1931 and passed away on July 19, 2015. He survived both his beloved wife Helen and their daughter Diane. Gerhard was born in Flensburg, Germany where he was a Champion Boxer. He gave that up when he came to the United States in 1951. He than became an Electrical Technician Forman. He also plays the accordion for us at many of our social functions. He was very active in both the Plattduetsche Volksfest Vereen and the Plattduetsche Home Society as he was a Director for each organization for over 20 years. He loved the Plattduetsche Home so much, that in August of 2013 he moved in and became a part of the family. He was a very friendly man and will be missed by all of us here at the Home.
