Elizabeth and I grew up together in Elmont, NY. We lived on the same street and attended grade school. junior high, and Sewanhaka High School together.
During my furloughs from the Air Force, I would visit her if she was at her Mother's house, and we would see each other at the many class reunions we held. Elizabeth said to me at our 50th class reunion, "Arthur, I can't remember day in my life that I didn't know you". something I'll always remember,
We exchanged Christmas cards, with an accompanying letter for many years. I didn't know Elizabeth had passed away this year. until today, when my card and letter was returned with the word Deceased written on it..
To her sister Linda, and her friends, know that I share your grief and that I will miss her also. She was a good friend.

Even if we didn't share the same blood, you will remain in my heart as my grandmother of the United States and I will profoundly regret you!
Isabelle, Leana and I are in deep sorrow now, but we will console ourselves by cherishing the wonderful memories we shared together.
