Predeceased by his wife Minerva. Loving father of Anthony E. Contreras and Christopher P. Contreras. Beloved grandfather of Christopher A. Contreras. Graduate of Fort Schuyler Merchant Maritime Academy. Served the Merchant Marine as Chief Engineer aboard the USS Argentina. Participated in Operation Torch - Invasion of North Africa in WWII. Retired Chief Engineer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
