Obituary of Jean Marie Tomaselli

Jeannie Tomaselli was born on February 18, 1957 in Roslyn, NY and spent nearly every day since loving her God, her family, and her friends with her whole heart. She was called home to her savior on a perfect beach day, May 31, 2016, surrounded by her husband of 35 years, all of their children, and dear friends. Her peaceful and quiet departure was a contrast to the legacy she left on earth, one of fierce laughter, constant excitement, and overwhelming joy. She’s now watching over her husband, Stephen, their children, Laura and Matt DiMarco, Christina, and Stephen Jr., as well as her grandbaby who she now has the pleasure of knowing before he or she is officially welcomed to the world. Her life’s joy was the family she made with her high school sweetheart and lifelong “boyfriend;” since the day they met at H. Frank Carey High School they have been sharing the delight of their love with everyone they’ve met. A nurse, a songwriter, and the consummate life-of-the-party, the memories Jeannie imprinted on the hearts she touched are abundant and bright. She had a way of making even the most mundane activities exciting, a knack for shopping the best sales, and a compassion for her patients that went well beyond the call of duty. While she will be missed on earth, the faith she instilled in her family allows them to know with certainty they will be together again soon. Until then, her family believes the beautiful and resilient “Mustang Jeannie” to be sunbathing on her shore side beach chair at Heaven’s equivalent to Long Beach.
