I am so sorry to learn that Irene had passed away. I had visited her on April 21 while on a trip from St. John's, Newfoundland to Brooklyn. She and I had been good friends since I met her quite a few years ago through Molly Hayes, and I would often take the train out to Hempstead to visit her. We would chat about our kids, Newfoundland, and always about Molly. I so much enjoyed Irene's company. What a truly great lady.
I had been trying to call her phone number her for some time and am truly shocked and saddened by her passing. My sincere sympathy to all her family and friends.
