I met Dan on October 29, 1973. He was my assigned mentor at the Brooklyn Savings Bank on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, my first job after graduating college. He became one of my closest friends and a little over thirteen years later, was the best man at my wedding. His persistence and confidence proved to be as valuable to me in starting my career as his knowledge of real estate. Although Italian curses weren’t exactly what the bank wanted me to learn from him, they proved to be invaluable too! Like most of us, Dan’s life had its ups and downs. He proved that he could take tough emotional and physical hits and bounce back, a lesson that will stay with me until my last breath. RIP Dan.
