Larry W Nikunen Obituary

Larry W. Nikunen

June 2, 1931 - November 10, 2023

We lost a great man. Married to Joy, the love of his life, his days were rich. He had 3 children, Karen (Mark), Laurie (John), & Larry (Diane), and for the last 37 years enjoyed blending with Joy’s 6, John & Sara, Joy & Steve, Peter, Christopher, Rosemary & Mike, and predeceased by Ernie who is survived by Laura. He had 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with a 5th on the way. He was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the Navy. Since 1990 they’ve lived full time in the Catskills. He loved it there and never wanted to live anywhere else. He could fix anything and lived to tinker. He worked up until his mid-eighties and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation in his name to DAV if you are so inclined.(https://www.dav.org)
