Donald E. Norris Obituary
Donald E. Norris was born in Manhattan, New York on August 7th, 1939 to Roberta and Lyle. He was one of 4 children, having a sister Marianne and two brothers Robert and Richard. He was a true patriot, first serving in the National Guard and enlisting in the US Navy at the age of 17. He served on the USS Plymouth Rock LSD-29 and was part of the drill team. He is survived by his wife Denise, son Donald and his siblings. Donald lived in Long Beach, New York.
He was a Flooring Mechanic by trade and lived life to the fullest enjoying both the land and the sea. He was an avid horseman, golfer, fisherman and bowler excelling in all. His true joy in life was to spend time with family and friends. He was always smiling and laughing which was intoxicating to others and drew everyone in. His ability to reach people in a positive deep connection was truly a special gift. He was kind, unpretentious, selfless and a true gentleman. He has touched so many lives. The world truly lost a remarkable man. To know him was to love him.
