Our beloved Eric Schmoldt, of Franklin Square sadly passed away on Monday, September 4th, 2023, at the admirable age of 92. He was in the peacefulness of his own home and in the presence and prayers of his loving family including his wife and best friend of 68+ years, Gertrude Schmoldt. He was a phenomenal father to Lorraine and son-in-law Anthony, and the best Opa to grandchildren, Joe, Gabriella, Maria, Matt, and great-grandchildren Rj & Andre.
Eric was the definition of a “family man”, setting the perfect example for all those who were lucky enough to witness his love and devotion. His marriage to Gertrude and the life they lived together will forever be our families favorite love story!
Eric will be reposing at the Krauss Funeral Home 1097 Hempstead Turnpike Franklin Square, NY 11010 on Thursday September 7th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00-9:00pm. Funeral on Friday September 8th 10:00am Krauss Funeral Home with burial at the Pinelawn Memorial Park.
