Obituary of David Anthony Nocella

David Anthony Nocella, age 68 from Queens NY, passed away on August 28th, 2023. He was a retired letter carrier & property owner. David enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, be it listening to or playing guitar to his favorite tunes (shoutout to “The Allman Brothers”), cruising around upstate NY for adventures with his son, repeatedly being surprised at how good food can be, or kicking back and watching his favorite sports, ranging from football to golf (and sometimes Hockey when peer pressured) David was quick witted, light-hearted and charmingly stubborn, always giving rise to a chuckle in conversation. His smile was contagious, and he was refreshingly genuine. His most special & treasured bond in life was with his surviving son, Ryan, from his marriage with Susan Nocella in 1983, of whom his shared memories with will be cherished forever. David was a dear son of the late Carmella (nee De Mondo) and late Charles Nocella and is survived by his brother Vincent Nocella, extended family, friends, and his favorite furry “mush”, Roosevelt. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service at Krauss Funeral Home (1097 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY 11010) on Friday, September 8th from 9-12pm followed by Inurnment at Queen of Peace Cemetery. The family extends a sincere thank you for the kindness received during this difficult time. David will be sorely missed and forever loved
