Obituary of James Patrick Beecher

We are sad to announce the death of James P. Beecher. Jim passed away on July 15, 2023 at a hospital near his home at Plattdeutsch Home Society in Franklin Square, NY. He was 90.
Jim was born on April 18, 1933 in the town of Galion, OH. After serving his country in the army, he embarked on a long career as an educator. He was principal at his school in Ohio before he relocated to Long Island NY where he taught history.
Outside of work, Jim enjoyed reading, skiing, and he put his passion of learning into exploring the Beecher ancestry. Jim was an avid sports fan and more specifically a lifelong Cleveland Browns supporter.
Jim's sense of humor and engaging smile will be truly missed.
We are in the process of finalizing the date and time of his funeral service in Virginia.
