Obituary of Adele Pitts
Please share a memory of Adele to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The world has lost a truly spunky and loving soul with the passing of Adele Pitts on April 29, 2023. Adele was born on July 31, 1942, in Gainesville, Florida, to her late parents Randoil Pitts Sr and Marie Pitts. Adele migrated to New York from Florida as a young adult where she planted her roots and that is where a legacy was made.
Adele was a mothering big sister to her siblings (the late) Franklin Vaughn, Willie J Pitts, and living Randoil Pitts Jr, Tauheedah Muhammad, Rebecca Pringle, Dorothy Lapierre and
Isaac Pitts.
Adele may have left this earth, but she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will never be forgotten. She had 7 children, Raymond Parker, Gregory Pitts, Tammy Peterson,
Franklin Peterson, Neckol Grant, Dorothy Edwards, and Doris Edwards, who will always cherish her memory.
As a Transit Operator by profession, Adele spent her life making connections with people from all walks of life. Her infectious smile and positive energy made her beloved by her
colleagues and the commuters she served on a daily basis.
Adele was a stern and doting grandmother to 12 grandchildren, Kenneth Parker, Gregory L Pitts II, Ashley Pitts, Jamel & Justin Peterson, Jasmine Peterson, Ebony Grant, Dominique
Stephenson, Lashelly Mayo, Franklin (Kwamain) France, Rhondalyn France, and Cassandra Augustin.
Adele was nurturing and easy going great grandmother to 14 great grandmother to Kquamel Jones, Kendra Ramsey, Love Ballard, Real Rivers, Yanique Jackson, Cadence Stephenson, Kennedy Stephenson, Zalathia France, Kwamain France Jr, Joshua Gittens, Makayla Pitts, Olivia Pitts, Matthew McFarland, Maxwell McFarland
Her family will always remember her as the sarcastic, no-nonsense, and get-it-done matriarch.
While Adele may have left us too soon, we take comfort in knowing that she left this world surrounded by love and affection. Her vibrant personality and kind soul will live on in
the hearts of those who knew and loved her forever.
