Whenever I think of Dad, especially in his later years, I am reminded to how he remained optimistic, never giving up. Best summed up by the sentiments expressed by the great poet Alfred Tennyson in Ulysses:
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world...
to sail beyond the sunset 'til I die...
'Tho much is taken, much abides
And while we are not now that strength
Which in old days moved earth and heaven,
That which we are, we are.
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate,
But strong in will to strive,
To seek, to find,
And not to yield.
