Dear Uncle Bert,
I am so grateful for all the wonderful times we shared together- vacations in Ocean City, Maryland, celebrating birthdays and holidays in New Jersey, and our trips to visit you and Aunt Barbara in New York. We really enjoyed the many NY dinner locations we shared and each other's company.
I always enjoyed our talks on the phone and hearing your insights on the world and ideas about life. I really appreciated your kind, calm voice. Most of all, I loved your warm hugs and thoughtfulness.
Our family will always keep you close in our hearts and cherish our memories together.

Dear Bert,
Thank you being a wonderful person to all your family and friends. You shared so much of yourself with everyone....your family, co-workers, and friends, especially those from your canoe and exercising groups.
Thank you for being part of our family for 33 years, including wonderful memories of vacations in Ocean City, Maryland, and many holidays over the years.
I am very grateful for the love and support you gave to my sister Barbara. It was a joy to see how much your love for each other blessed both of your lives for so many years. You will always be in our hearts and memories.
Love, Joyce

Dear Bert, You live on in our memories. Wish you could be here to share many more outdoor experiences -- we enjoyed them together so much! I remember the wilderness Nahanni River trip with you and the Grand Canyon hiking and many South Jersey and mighty Delaware fun times. I never did see you dump your canoe, but you'll have stories to tell them in Heaven! Miss you. Janice

Q: How did you meet Albert?
A: I met Bert 43 years ago when I hired him to work at Manufacturers Hanover in the Operations Research Department. We were more than co-workers, we developed a long lasting friendship over the years. He was very smart and was creative and came up with many good ideas. He liked to travel and was into photography and bicycle riding. We spent many hours discussing his hobbies and it inspired me to take up photography and bicycle touring. He was very supportive when my wife passed away and when I would bring my 6 year old daughter to work on days she didn't have school he would go to lunch with us and buy her ice creme. Whenever I had a problem he was there to help. He was a kind and generous person. I will miss him terribly.

Bert was a kind sweet man.
My parents Ray and Theresa always enjoyed his company.
I remember the last time I saw him and Barbara, we had a nice day together.
