Our Dearest Elden Aunty,
Words cannot express how deeply we miss you.
You've left a void in our hearts that can never be filled. We consider ourselves blessed beyond measure to have been loved and supported by in every stage of our lives. Thank you for believing in us, loving us like your own children, and going above and beyond in showering us with love and affection. Dear Chitti,
It's heart breaking knowing that I would not be able to talk to you again. You have always been supportive to me and many others in our family and I will remember all the good deeds you have done for each of us. Yes, being the youngest sister it's very true, God has called you much earlier, but I know his garden must be looking very beautiful now that you are tending to it.
We had our humble beginnings and you studied hard and was much better than any of us. You had a belief in God and in yourself; Always determined, always hard working and trusting in your own abilities. All it came through in our lives, ups and downs, but you stood for us. Deeply pained to know that you left us so soon ma.
Having got in touch with you after more than four decades, I feel terrible that I cannot see, talk or chat with you again on earth. I will miss the daily morning greetings we exchanged.

Elden was my first friend in the United States. I immigrated to Queens, NY from Hyderabad, India with my husband in 1987 and I was a stranger to this country. Elden and I were both in our mid 20's at the time and she embraced me with open arms. She was an independent, lively, and brave young woman. I have fond memories of her playing with my children and showering them with so much love. Her parents would join us in celebrating the kids' birthdays and creating unforgettable moments together. I moved to NJ in the late 90's and somewhere along the way, we lost touch. However, we reconnected some 20 odd years later through Facebook and were in communication for the last few years of her life. I had no idea of the severity of her illness because Elden would maintain such a positive attitude during our phone conversations. She had faith in her healing and was optimistic til the end. My kids sent her a Christmas card last month and she was absolutely thrilled to hear from them. We were all looking forward to visiting her, but she was taken too soon. She was a bright and loving presence who will live on in our hearts. We love you and miss you, Elden. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Chittakka, you are beautiful as a bright shining star. Remembering the days of our childhood how you use to take all of us to attend V.B.S at Hebron Church. Your heartful laughter, the aura you carried, the dignity you maintained, the dressing style will always be an example. A heart of gold stopped beating. Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow; what it means to lose you no one will ever know. No farewell words were spoken, there was no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why? We’ll miss you until we meet again. The loss is immeasurable but so is the love left behind.

Q: How did you meet Elden?
A: Ironically, Elden and I never met in person, but we saw each other over zoom numerous times. She was so full of life, so bright, and always had a positive word to say. She never looked at her illness as a hindrance, but more so as a steppingstone to how grateful she was to be alive and to be able to continue working.
She and I would always talk about how wonderful God is because he opened our eyes every day. As time went on, she disclosed to me how tired and weary she was beginning to feel after every treatment. I remember “yelling “at her to get her rest, because it was super important that she save her strength.
Elden will be missed tremendously by me and many others. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. I pray for your peace, comfort, and strength during this trying time. Take heart in knowing that she is no longer in pain and is resting peacefully. Know that she was loved by everyone she came in contact with.

Q: How did you meet Elden?
A: We met Elden at Grace Baptist Church. She is a kind, sweet woman. Her love for Jesus and his teachings shows in how she treats everyone. Our family had the wonderful opportunity of getting to know her from the experience of spending several hours with her in our family minivan driving from NY to Florida to attend a wedding.
