Obituary of Florence S. Foreman

Florence Foreman, of Elmont, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at 7:00PM at North Shore Franklin General surrounded by her children. She was 93 and the daughter of the late Alessio and Florence Krueger Scaturro. She was born and lived the early part of her life in Brooklyn, NY. She is pre-deceased by her husband, James and his brother, Benjamin as well as her brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Anna Scaturro of Goshen, NY. Until 4 years ago, she drove to and energetically worked part-time for the Green Line Bus Company, which then became part of the MTA Bus Line. She loved gardening, tending to her family of cats and reading James Patterson Thrillers. She attended the Garden City Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing “Kings in the Corner” and Bingo at the Franklin Square Senior Center. She will be missed by her beloved son and daughter, Kenneth Foreman and Carol Queirolo and their spouses, Danielle Brooks and Michael Mensch, as well as her niece Joann Scaturro McMonagle, Joann’s husband James and their children Lisa and Michelle. Florence always carried a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. The grandchildren include Justin Queirolo, Daniel Penaloza, Jacquelyn Melnikoff and her husband Justin Melnikoff.
