Maria Theresia Kohl was born in Germany in 1926. She was a classmate of my mother in her teens and remained a life-long friend of my mother. My mother emigrated to Canada in the 1954. Maria followed to work as well, then went to the United States, something that she did not regret. Maria took care of children, never married, never had children of her own. She was very religious and attended church regularly. She was a good friend to my mother, was good to me, and the rest of the family. As a testament to their friendship, I bear Maria's name as my middle name, as does my sister. Maria, thank you for everything. You will be sadly missed.
