Ernest O. Ziegler Jr., 52, died on Tuesday August 16, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Ernest is survived by his wife Teresa and children Michelle and Christopher. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents. He grew up in East Meadow, NY and lived for the past 6 years in Lake Ariel, PA and Juno Beach, FL. Ernest held many jobs, including Border Patrol Agent, NYPD officer, and Sergeant in the Rockville Centre Police Department. As much as he loved serving as a police officer, anyone who knew Ernie knows about his many hobbies. Ernie was a gardener, beekeeper, moonshine-maker, motorcycle-rider, fisherman, boater, and of course, a dad to his girl, Zoey. His greatest joy in life was spending time with friends and family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed. Visitation Saturday and Sunday 2-4pm and 6-8pm @ Krauss Funeral Home,1097 Hempstead Tpke Franklin Square NY. Religious Service Sunday 6:30pm, Funeral Monday 10:00am. Internment St. Charles Cemetery
