Obituary of James Christopher Galvin

James Christopher Galvin, who passed peacefully on June 27th, 2022, was born July 13th, 1947, to parents Michael and Rita Galvin. James, a SGT E4 was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star well as the Air and Good Conduct medals for valiant and courageous actions during the Tet Offensive in the Republic of Vietnam. He also served in Cambodia as well as the US Army Reserves.
Upon Honorable discharge from the Army James worked as a Conductor on the Long Island Railroad for almost 30 years. A deeply religious man James loved God, his family and his beloved pets Roo, Lulu, Sabrina, Matty and Maggie.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Rita, brother Joseph and sisters Kathy and Patty, James is survived by his son Christopher, companion Ivelise Lamarche, her daughters Maria, Sibila and Irene, her grandchildren Niki, Christos, Nicholas, Francine, Irene, Joanna and Melanie. His Sisters Peggy, Rita and Ginny, Brothers George, Patrick and Br. Michael. His Nephews John, James, William, Michael, Peter, Michael and Joseph. His Nieces Mary, Ann Marie, Jennifer, Melissa, Theresa, Patricia and Mary. Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews and a few Great, Great Nieces and Nephews.
