He was always nice to me. He liked to ask me what my Mom cooked because my Dad was Russian. I always got a kick out of that. Glad to see he lived a long, inspirational, kind life.

I WOULD TALK WITH EDWIN AFTER THE MORNING LITURGY AT SAINT VLADIMIR UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN HEMPSTEAD.HE HAD WONDERFUL THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HIS FAMILY. HE STOPPED COMING AND I DIDN'T HAVE CONTACT INFORMATION AND WHEN I TRIED A PHONE NUMBER, IT WAS NO LONGER IN SERVICE.I GOOGLED EDWIN'S NAME AND SAW HIS OBITUARY YESTERDAY AND I FELT BAD FOR BILLY AS I HAD A FEELING THAT EDWIN LOVED AND CARED FOR HIM DEARLY AND THAT BOND THEY SHARED WILL NEVER BE REPLACED. FATHER AND SON HAD A GYM MEMBERSHIP BOUGHT FOR BILLY'S FIFTIETH BIRTDAY. WHAT A DAD !

When Edwin returned home from the Army he had a surprise, me. He had no idea our mother was expecting. When I was 7, our father died and Edwin, took over, he brought me to the dentist, paid for guitar lessons and he and Mary, would take me on vacations.
I’ll miss picking up the phone and hearing his cheerful voice. Stevie

I am very sorry about my brother Edwin's passing. He was always a positive influence on the family and helped our mother when she needed assistance. When the family needed advice, he was there for them. He will be greatly missed.
Raymond and Cathy

For over 30 years, he served as a police officer for the City of New York. He was preceded in death by his father Charles, his mother Anna, his brother William, his sister Ann, and his wife Mary. May he rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of my uncles passing. Always was happy to talk to him on the phone and times I had visiting. He was a positive influence on my life and I will miss him greatly. He now joins my grandparents and mother in heaven. Until we meet again, I love you. Your nephew, Wayne.
