Many years and many fond memories. When I was a teenager and earned my Arista Honor Society pin, Aunt Hilda showed me hers and it looked very similar. I remember the sense of camaraderie we shared, as if it were our own secret society. During, college she introduced me to her good friend Bill West. Dr. West was a Professor of Anatomy and provided me guidance and introduced me to Dr. Parnell, Chairman of Admissions. With these introductions, the rest became history, I was accepted into Downstate Medical Center. She has always been special to me as my Aunt and Godmother and I always felt special to her. In the sorrow we all feel, know the many joys she brought to each of us, bringing a smile amongst the tears.
