Obituary for Arlene Iacovelli Arlene Iacovelli, 82, of Franklin Square, NY, passed away on May 12, 2021. Arlene Iacovelli is survived by her son, Timothy Amato and his wife Sharon Amato of Rockville Center, NY., her brother Louis Perullo Jr., sister Dolores Da Silva, nephews Louis Perullo I, Fernando Da Silva Jr. and her nieces Yvonne Perullo and Maria Victoria Araujo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Iacovelli. Arlene Iacovelli was born in Jamaica, NY on October 16, 1938. She worked as a head typist for J & W Seligman. Upon retirement she became involved in her local Senior Centers and enjoyed living life to the fullest. She found delight in spending time with family and friends, taking walks on the beach, travelling, and indulging in an array of arts and crafts. Cookie, as known by all, had a big heart, strong sense of self and a grand personality. She was sought out often for her solid advice, that could only come from someone who endured many obstacles but always found a way to overcome them every time. All that knew her would testify of her willingness to come out anytime of the night to help any family member, friend, or neighbor in need. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt, for her generous smile and her unconditional love. However, Cookie valued nothing more than motherhood and being a mother to her son Timothy. A Wake is being held Tuesday, May 18, 2021 between the hours of 9:00am and 11:00am at Krauss Funeral Home, 1097 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY 11010. Followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:30am at St Catherine of Sienna RC Church 33 New Hyde Park Road, Franklin Square, NY 11010. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 99 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933.
