Obituary of Roy Sinniger

Roy Clifford Sinniger, 78, of Malverne New York, passed away on March 2, 2021 in Lynbrook, New York. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Krauss Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Roy was born in Floral Park, New York to Roy L. and Evelyn Sinniger on October 7, 1942. He attended Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, and graduated in 1961. He served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965. Roy worked as a driver for King Kullen supermarkets, and in custodial services for the West Hempstead School District for many years. He enjoyed everything related to cars, and especially liked attending classic car shows and watching NASCAR racing. He was a volunteer fireman with the Elmont Fire Department. He was a loving spouse, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his extended family. He will be fondly remembered for his ability to fix anything, love of horror movies and 50’s rock, his sense of humor, loyalty to his friends, love of animals, and his easygoing nature. Roy is survived by his spouse Jean Sinniger of Malverne NY, his son Scott L Sinniger and spouse Wendy Sinniger, his daughter Joyce Simos of Malverne, granddaughters Casey Schwendel and Ashley Simos, and great-grandson Cameron Schwendel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy L and Evelyn Sinniger, and his daughter Jeannine Pond. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, 259 W 30th Street, Suite 402, New York NY 10001.
