Robert Dolphin Smith, 64, passed away suddenly on February 4 after doing some shoveling.
Rob, loving husband to Peggy and devoted Dad to his dear Mary Margaret, leaves behind a community of friends whose hearts are broken.
Rob was an avid reader, history buff, cat lover, movie fanatic, music devotee, bass guitarist, nature lover, and model railroad enthusiast but these attributes don’t begin to describe the man.
He found delight in so many things it is difficult to narrow down the list. He was a proud member of the West Island Model Railroad Club, specializing in scenery design, another passion of his.
His wife, daughter, and friends are shocked and grief stricken at his sudden passing at too young an age. He will live forever in our hearts.
Friends are invited to attend the viewing on Monday, February 8 from 4 to 8 pm at Krauss Funeral Home on Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square.
