Cherished grandfather of Joseph Vaas (Laura), James Vaas (Nicole), Lauren Vaas (Danny), Maryam Afkham, and Sofia Afkham and great grandfather of Jack Joseph Vaas. In Lieu of flowers donations to one of the following organizations would be appreciated, American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, Disabled Vets, American Cancer Society, St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Sloane Kettering Hospital ,or NYU Winthrop Hospital
