Maria Rosa Totino, affectionately known as Nonna Rose, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on October 27th. She was the devoted wife of the late Francesco Totino (1990) and loving mother to 6 children: Rocco, Giuseppe and his wife Rosalba, Pasquale and his wife Maria, Anna Maria and her husband Carmine, Dominick and his wife Michelle, and Graziella and her husband Salvatore. She was the adoring Nonna to twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, all of whom she loved endlessly. Rosa was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1969, where alongside her husband, made a beautiful life for her family. She was well known as a phenomenal cook and instilled many traditions in her family. Rosa could always be found knitting beautiful baby blankets and embroidering tablecloths for her grandchildren. She lived a Iong and beautiful life and will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
