Obituary of Eileen Ostrowski Terito

Eileen P. Ostrowski-Terito, 66, of Franklin Square, NY, passed away on October 19, 2023. Eileen was born in Queens, NY to Stanley and Ann Ostrowski on August 23, 1957. She is survived by her husband, Donnie and her children Nicole (Kate) and Douglas (Lisa), as well as her sister Maryanne her brother, Stanley and her sister in-laws Penny and Sandy. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, her two brothers, John and George and her sister Donna. To know Eileen was to understand her deep love for her children, Nicole and Douglas and their spouses Kate and Lisa, as well as her husband Donnie. Eileen also loved her many pets and you could always find her with a cat sitting on her lap. As an avid animal lover, she took care of not only her own pets but the neighborhood strays, as well. Eileen welcomed everyone with open arms into her life. As her children grew, their friends knew they were welcome in her home and at the dinner table. Her loving and caring nature led her to find work at Our Precious Angels Day Care, which was a vocation she truly enjoyed. The day care and the children were a big part of her life. She adored the children and always had cute, funny stories to share. Some of the things Eileen was best known for were her cupcakes, her love of purple and unicorns, her sense of humor and, of course, her occasional curse word. She made everyone around her laugh. Eileen truly enjoyed life in every way, from the simplest pleasures of walking trails, caring for her orchids, creating her terrariums, sitting around a campfire or hanging out with friends, to her and Donnie enjoying cruises, vacations and casinos together. She loved word games, so much that she could be described as a “reigning champ.” Eileen will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and encouraging nature: she was a true friend to anyone who was lucky enough to know her.
